Referral Partners
Referral partners are business developers for DEX. They don't need to build anything — they need a network and the credibility to open a door.
What you do
You identify a prospective client, bring them to a DEX demo (with Colakin or directly), and log the lead in the partner CRM. From there, Colakin and any assigned collaborative/implementation partners take over delivery.
You can pitch under your own company name, or reference Colakin/DEX directly — whichever fits your relationship with the client.

Two ways to earn as a referral partner
A. Refer a client — 8%
You bring a paying client. Once their project is delivered, you receive 8% of the total project value, paid net-30 after delivery.
Worked example: John refers a logistics company. The signed project is worth $100,000. Once delivered, John receives $8,000.
B. Refer another partner (not a client) — 2%
You introduce another company or individual into the partner network — they're not your client, they become a partner themselves. On every project that that partner brings in, you receive 2% of project value.
Worked example: John introduces an IT consulting company, ABC Consulting, as a new partner. ABC Consulting later brings in a manufacturing client whose project is worth $800,000. ABC Consulting (as the referring partner on that deal) earns 8% = $64,000. John, for having introduced ABC Consulting into the network, earns 2% = $16,000.
Lead exclusivity: the 90-day rule
Referral leads are tracked in the CRM with exclusivity rules to keep things fair when multiple partners know the same prospect:
- The first partner to log a lead in the CRM holds exclusivity on that lead.
- Exclusivity holds as long as there is active follow-up with that prospect.
- If there is no activity for 90 consecutive days, the lead is automatically released, and any other partner can pursue it.
Example: Both Vijay and Simon separately have a contact at the same company. Whoever logs the lead into the CRM first holds it — as long as they're actively progressing the conversation. If 90 days pass with no movement, the lead opens up again.
Term
A referral partner agreement is valid for up to 3 years, subject to the specific contract signed. Commission is paid per delivered project under that agreement — it isn't capped to a single project.
Who qualifies
- Can be an individual or a company.
- Must have seen a live DEX demo and be confident pitching DEX's capability.
- Typically works toward a sales target for an assigned territory (e.g. $1M–$5M).
